All C.I.I. member schools recognize these Certificates, and in order
to obtain one, a teacher must successfully complete four online courses
from selected providers during a three-year period, as described below.
The Interdisciplinary Certificate is designed for Elementary School teachers
and Special Education teachers. In order to obtain this Certificate, a teacher
must successfully complete one online course in each of the four core subject
areas: Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science over a three-year
period. Teachers who are interested in pursuing the other Certificates must
successfully complete four courses in the specific core subject area, also
