ABSTRACT An effective e-learning system involves a systematic process of planning, design, development, evaluation, and implementation of a meaningful learning environment where learning is fostered and supported. E-learning technology is the infrastructure that a major shift to online delivery is likely to necessitate. These are the individual pictures, blocks of text, animation sequences, and video passages that contribute to the page. The collaboration tools include common online meeting products and services. Sound, animation, video and other media may require specific authoring and editing tools. Content converters help producers make existing documents and other content available online. AOL (America Online), the world's largest ISP, provides its users with a customized version of the Internet Explorer browser. The online teaching guide: a handbook of attitudes, strategies and techniques for the virtual classroom.

Every year, it seems, I ooh and aah over the style and look of the lat-est, greatest video game. The campaign's story is rather engrossing and the online multiplayer option, with 16 players in a variety of standard combat modes, is very welcome. It's tricky and time consuming, but it's a more hands-on experience than simply setting your simulated park in motion, tweaking a few things as the season unfolds, and then spending most of your time sitting back and watching your little animated visitors run around the park. The graphics are strictly average for current Xbox titles, and the mini-scenes between the action are cringe-worthy in terms of animation. But this isn't the best use I've ever seen of the ŞBaldur's Gateş engine, and the action and animation seemed dated and awkward. They might have been popping cham-pagne corks at three game companies on the West Coast last week: Blizzard En-tertainment and Vivendi Universal for the runaway success of their online world

Abstract--This paper presents an interactive technique that produces static hairstyles by generating individual hair strands of the desired shape and color, subject to the presence of gravity and collisions. A variety of hairstyles can be generated by adjusting the wisp parameters, while the deformation is solved efficiently, accounting for the effects of gravity and collisions. As for hair deformation, we propose a method which is based on physical simulation concepts, but is simplified to efficiently solve the static shape of hair. Our technique spans a wider range of human hairstyles than previously proposed methods and the styles generated by this technique are fairly realistic. The same face can make quite different impressions as the person's hairstyle is varied. We aim to develop an interactive technique to generate stati c human hairstyles in the presence of gravity, with a proper treatment of collisions. Hair strands are very thin (40 to 80 microns in shaft http://www.computer.org/tvcg/featured_article/v0160.pdf

Since the user can plane as many cutting plane as desired, the second icon allows the user to select a cutting plane to indicate the desired operations. If the analysis is of eigen analysis types such as modal or buckling analysis, then a separate result file can be read to for eigen mode examination. In order to achieve a seamless integration between our three programs, we have implemented a common database that is shared among all our programs. Its format is dictated by the VSMesh program, which can be tailored by each user to fit a FE program of choice. The selection is usually stored in the database index such as material index or boundary condition geometry index. When you revisit the setting by selecting the geometry or material index, the selected items stored are immediately recalled into the current

Advice for creating more dynamic characters by Cynthia Celeste Miller As any cartoon fan can tell you, all the best retro-toons had a plethora of fantastic characters, both heroes and villains. The ones that featured lackluster characters almost invariably went the way of the zoot suit, and rightfully so. Nobody cares about bland characters in cartoons. And nobody cares about them in role-playing games either. This article will offer you some tips and advice for making your characters as cool as they can possibly be. THE THREE QUESTIONS The animation studios were generally at the mercy of the toy companies in terms of content. There are numerous sources for instructions and tips both online and in toy magazines.
