Last year 13 players on the Maryland State 4A Basketball Champions from Magruder had played for Redland in the I-270 Basketball League.
Players wear team uniforms supplied by the I-270 Sports Club and play in area school gyms with IAABO referees.

The Shocktoberfest Committee reserves the right to deny any team from participating if they fail to enter by deadline, pay appropriate entry fees, or violate any rules governing the tournament.
Any current WSU student or faculty or staff member (non-Heskett member may play) may compete in the tournament, except varsity basketball team players.
Deliberate stalling or attempts to freeze the ball may result in the loss of possession.
If a shot is not attempted or does not make contact with the rim, the possession is lost.
The ball does not need to be checked after steals but must be checked after fouls and when the ball goes out of bounds.

1. The top eight teams from either division shall qualify for the tournament.
The winners of these games will qualify for the Mile High Shootout to be played at a pre-determined site according to a vote of the Presidents' Council of the RMAC.
The other semifinal game will match the winners of the 2-7 and 3-6 games and also be played Friday.
Videotape equipment must be approved by the RMAC.
The Tournament Committee shall be comprised of the RMAC Commissioner, the Assistant Commissioner/Media Relations Director, the Assistant Commissioner/ Operations, the Coordinator of Officials, and an Athletic Director of a non-participating institution.
The RMAC will reimburse travel based upon the percentage of each institutions cost compared to the total of all institutions.
