As a member of the basketball program at Drake University, education often expands beyond the classroom to various parts of the United States and the world.
Drake's goal is to do more than just retain students but also challenge them intellectually, personally and socially.
A cornerstone for the Drake basketball program is the beautiful Drake Knapp Center, a $12.5 million sports and recreation center, which was completed in October, 1992.

This camp serves as a getaway for East Coast players, players from that Left Coast and scattered others from, yup, around the world.
We play ball at UCSB at the venerable Robertson Gym and then sprint back to the Inn and their rejuvenating palm-shaded jacuzzis.

Jason Erickson of Montana State was named Most Valuable Player, Chris Hester of Eastern Washington and Damir Latovic of Montana State were named Co-Newcomers of the Year, Marc Axton of Eastern Washington was named Freshman of the Year and Alvin Snow of Eastern Washington was named Defensive Player of the Year.
Hester, a 6-3 junior from Fort Madison, Iowa, really emerged for Eastern Washington in the conference season.
Snow, a 6-2 guard from Seattle, Wash., was Eastern Washington's top defender and led the Eagles to a second-place finish in the Big Sky standings.

When there are 6 players present, each player must play at least three full-uninterrupted quarters.
