The La Grange Main Street Hometown Christmas Celebration on the Courthouse Square in Downtown La Grange is planned for this Saturday, December 7th.

The public is invited to attend this annual tradition as around 30 students representing each grade hang their handmade ornaments on the Christmas tree.
This year, the students have made "wish list" angels that specify personal items and supplies each grade would like to receive.
During the Christmas season, city employees pull angel ornaments from the tree for their assigned grade and fulfill the Christmas "wish lists."
Throughout the school year, city workers will provide additional information and resources within the classrooms, including serving as reading volunteers, science fair judges, and assisting with guest speaker visits to the school.

It was just 2 days before September 11, 2001 when I flew home with Nan Beal and Donna Salter, musicians from Unity of Fairfax, on American Airlines returning from the first annual New Thought Music Symposium in California.
