Under the Labour Law, a labour contract must be signed between an individual worker and an enterprise, or workers may sign a collective contract with the enterprise.
Contract authentication is a legal process whereby the labour administrative department conducts full-scale examination, verification and validation of all labour contracts signed between an enterprise and its employees.
The enterprise should submit the labour contract to the local labour administrative department for authentication within 30 days after the commencement of service by an employee upon signing a labour contract.
An enterprise or its resident representative office may entrust a service agency specialised in mobile human resources to manage the personal files of its mainland staff.

Manufacturing employment in the CMSA represented 22 percent of total nonfarm employment in 1996, down from 24 percent in 1990.
By comparison, services employment represented over 30 percent of total nonfarm employment in 1996, up from 27 percent in 1990.
Although service producing industries represent the fastest growing sector in the CMSA, the Milwaukee area still leads the nation in the production of precision manufacturing (such as the production of industrial controls, x-ray equipment, mining machinery, etc.) and printing and publishing.

Students are an important part of many offices on campus and make our workplace vibrant and interesting.
In the financial aid office, the work-study coordinator and an assistant manage the overall administration of the student employment program at Widener.
Most student employment issues you should face can be handled by consulting this handbook or your immediate supervisor.
We recommend that evaluations be conducted at least once each semester and at the termination of employment.
Students who having difficulties with a supervisor, should approach that person and ask to meet to discuss any issues related to the studentsupervisor relationship.
Once a student is hired, the student's continued employment is contingent on satisfactory job performance.

age, mothers, employment, parent, labor force, Hispanics, race/ethnicity.
Over the last three decades there has been a rise in the proportion of single parent families, and in the proportion of mothers who work regardless of marital status.17 These factors have acted to reduce the percent of children who have a parent at home full time.
Children under age 6 experienced larger increases than those ages 6-17 in this indicator from 1980 to 1994.
The child care needs of American families have been increasing over the past several decades as mothers have moved into the labor force in ever greater numbers.
Data for 1991 indicate that, for children whose mothers work full time, the most common forms of child care used were day care and preschool facilities (28 percent) followed by non-relative care in the provider's home (21 percent).

While losses were spread throughout the industries, Construction and Services accounted for most of the decline in employment, losing 2,500 and 2,100 jobs, respectively.
Government and Retail Trade were the only industries to add jobs over the month; combined, they added 1,900 workers to November payrolls.
The new mall accounted for approximately 35% of the unadjusted increase, adding 2,800 jobs to the industry.
Even with Colorado's over-the-month decline in total nonagricultural employment, the annual growth rate continued to improve for the fourth straight month, climbing from --1.7% in October to --1.6% in November.
The entire loss came from Durable Goods, which reduced payrolls by 1,300 positions.

employment, labour, equity, Canada, policy, globalization, effectiveness.
Two contradictions have become apparent in today's global labour market.
First, while the globalization of the labour market has brought new types of employment for groups that were traditionally excluded from paid corporate work, it has also brought new forms of exploitation, while older forms of discrimination in employment persist.
Second, at a time when government's role in protecting vulnerable and exploited workers is most needed, and when policy development has advanced to a point where such protection is more feasible than ever before, we have seen governments retreat from the field.
Progressive policy development to protect workers against employment discrimination is evident in recent positive action or employment equity legislation in South Africa and Northern Ireland, as well as initiatives in the European Union.

Pre-employment background investigations mitigate the "insider" threat by assuring only trustworthy and reliable personnel have unescorted access to critical facilities.
This guideline recommends "best practices" for the electricity sector in the area of "Employment Background Screening" for facilities or functions identified as critical.
6. Verification of highest level of education or professional certifications, i.e., CPA, PE, etc.
Limited background checks may be appropriate for summer and intern students, co-op employees, and independent contractors who work at or in direct support of identified critical facilities on a brief or intermittent basis.
Leased / Contract Employment Backgrounds -- Depending on specific duties, this type of screening may be less extensive than the Limited Employment Background.

1. How do student health, counselling and support services meet the needs of those students experiencing a mental illness?
2. Do you have personnel available to liase with people with a mental illness and their service deliverers to ensure that they can continue their studies?

This report, funded under the European Commission SAVE programme, summarises the results of a project assessing national and local employment impacts of energy efficiency investment programmes.
A key objective of this project was to provide local, national and EU policy makers with an indication of employment effects by sector, by policy approach, and an estimate of overall employment impact for a range of investment policy scenarios.
Cost Cost effectiveness and low government expenditure are desirable outcomes in effectiveness their own terms, but also tend to increase indirect employment effects.
Fiscal policies did not perform as well in terms of cost effectiveness and employment, and some policies merely brought forward investments which would have occurred anyway.
