In 2002, the Saskatoon Sports Council operated the 11th Annual Used Sport Equipment Drive.
This Equipment Drive is made up of community based organizations (Kiwanis Club of Saskatoon and the City of Saskatoon) with a mission to provide children/youth opportunities to participate in sports.
They were extremely happy to provide equipment that would break down the barrier of lack of equipment, for the youth that they serve.
The KidSport Committee was able to allocate close to $53,000 to approximately 390 children.
A City of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Lotteries Urban Aboriginal Community Grant and a KidSport Program Grant made this new project possible.
