To the people who "of this world" friendship means choosing a friend that has approximately the same attitudes, or same age, or social rank or certain aspects of behavior.
But to person who is "not of this world" (Romans 12:2) a friend should be a person whose aim is salvation, and for this end the two friends encourage and support each other.
He wants us to learn from Him on how to be a true friend.
A true friend should be characterized by Christian attributes (the fruits of the Spirit): loving, kind, good, self-control c.

In child care settings, however, the difference between the reported number of friendships for typically developing children and their peers with disabilities did not reach statistical significance.
Implications are presented for considering how the social ecology of the early childhood classroom setting may influence social outcomes for young children enrolled in inclusive programs.
A child with disabilities was defined as any child who met North Carolina's eligibility criteria for receiving special services and who had either an Individualized Family Services Plan (IFSP) or an individualized education program (IEP).
To determine if the difference between settings was important for typically developing children as well as for children with special needs, the interaction between disability status and setting was included.
