Description: Volunteers in this position perform routine gardening
tasks that allow the gardeners to concentrate on their particular specialties.
Duties may vary, but the primary tasks are weeding, raking and light maintenance.
Gardening assistants do not handle any gardening equipment outside what
is needed to perform the above tasks. Your assistance in this area of the
garden operation will allow the gardeners to concentrate on the many tasks
that are involved in keeping the Garden looking its best for our patrons.
Training/Evaluation: Instruction and training will be provided by the gardeners,
and the Volunteer Coordinator will ensure that you are comfortable with
the task that you have been given. Raking and cleaning litter along the
Henderson Lake/Garden Boundary Other duties as required by the gardeners.
