Preliminary industry reports convey that the winter holiday season for
consumer fireworks sales and use was strong despite concerns that the
failing economy would adversely affect industry sales.
The Final Rule is poorly worded and has created much confusion among local
Coast Guard officials and fireworks display companies alike.
APA's Transportation Committee pointed out several areas where they believed
modification of the standard was necessary.
The revisions will be discussed during both industry partnering sessions
during the APA convention in Las Vegas providing members with an opportunity
to ask questions.

Applicant is requesting Final Development Plan approval, pursuant to Section 51200 of the Teton County Land Development Regulations, to develop 37 cabins as Phase II of the Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club Planned Resort Development.
The Vail Resort Development Company purchased the property from the previous resort owner, Grand Teton Lodge Company, in 1999.
An application for the third and final phase of development will address clubhouse redevelopment and employee housing; the application for the third phase was submitted in April.
The applicant also has a pending plat application that cannot be approved until resolution of wastewater treatment and affordable housing issues.

The arrival of spring brings many great events, CLEs, and volunteer opportunities to RCBA members.
The RCBF annually awards grants to lawrelated charitable organizations such as Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services, Children's Law Center, Centro Legal, and Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers.
A recommendation for legislation expanding federal court jurisdiction of class actions also passed, as did the usual resolution supporting increased judicial salaries.
