b02127 In this project, the researchers developed and implemented a system where GPS technology was used in tracking a single vehicle and relaying its information to a central server. Using another simulated vehicle, the server evaluated collision scenarios and sent cautionary messages to the roving vehicle if a collision is impending. Construction sites with regular and robotic equipment suffer from the potential of collisions between the various types of equipment. Based on measurements of the amount of time that the radio signals travel from a satellite to a receiver, GPS receivers calculate the distance and determine the locations in terms of longitude, latitude, and altitude, with great accuracy. wintergpsupdate Note: This information is being sent to those who indicated that they would like to receive updates about our 4-H GPS & GIS trainings, resources, programming ideas, etc. Participants will be using our Virginia 4-H GPS Navigation Education Kits and other GPS equipment in both e-classroom sessions and during a variety of field exercises (culminating with GPS Search & Rescue of "Bubba" the lost hunter!). We will also field-test some of the latest innovations in GPS receiver technology such as acreage measurement and GPS/FRS radio capabilities. Our initial goal is to create six complete kits, one per Extension district, managed by a responsible GPS-trained Extension agent in that district. gpsclock In many timing applications, such as (911) centers / emergency dispatch, time / frequency standards, site synchronization systems and event measurement /tagging systems, GPS receivers are replacing older timing technologies. Each GPS satellite contains a highly-stable atomic (cesium) clock, which is continuously monitored and corrected by the GPS control segment. This is possible since all GPS satellite clocks are corrected to a common master clock. Therefore, the relative clock error is the same, regardless of which satellites are used. For timing applications requiring a "common clock", GPS is the ideal solution. The DDS GPS master uses the signals from these GPS "clocks" to correct it's own internal clock. GPS and GEM Magnetometers http://www.gemsys.on.ca/PDFDocs/GPS and GEM Magnetometers.pdf Commercial availability of high-resolution GPS and DGPS systems is changing the way in which earth scientists perform data acquisition tasks in a variety of fields. Acquisition of time-series data in stationary surveys (i.e. observatory or earthquake hazard applications) Synchronization of stationary and rover units for post-processing and correction of spatial data in mobile surveys (i.e. mineral exploration, UXO, and archeology applications) Real-time guidance of rover units to conform with survey specifications in mobile surveys (i.e. UXO and other high-productivity ground surveys) Location of measurement stations for determining follow-up activities and making effective decisions in mobile surveys (i.e. mineral exploration drilling, UXO detection and high-resolution archeology mapping) In these contexts, the importance of GPS / DGPS will continue to rise as additional services are added (for example, EGNOS in Europe) and as the benefits of data acquisition instrumentation equipped with GPS become more broadly known and accepted. NavigatingWithGPSCourse http://www.d7oax3.net/ChDirAux/NavigatingWithGPSCourse.pdf Navigating with GPS Course -- A new one-lesson course, Navigating with GPS, is now released and may be offered to the public. Flotillas offering the new GPS course should report completions on the Public Education Course Report (ANSC 7033) as category 10Authorized One Lesson Course. A full code correlating, all in view GPS receiver and antenna are included in each GPS Mark II MICROSONDE. For soundings made from a fixed location, accurate pressure data is derived from the hydrostatic equation (incorporating GPS altitude, temperature, humidity, and surface pressure) so an actual pressure sensor is not necessary. For mobile radiosonde applications, the GPS Mark II MICROSONDE may be configured with a standard Sippican capacitance aneroid pressure sensor. The VIZ Meteorological Systems Group of Sippican, Inc. has over 50 years of dedicated experience in the field of upper air meteorological equipment. gps Early in 1997 Wharton Electronics developed a logo scheme to both act as a visual indication of the compliance of it own products and also raise awareness of the millennium crisis. Basic Oncore module housed in black plastic case. Manufactured August Statement of compatibility The 488/488A GPS family uses a high quality multi-processor receiver / decoder module with embedded software which is supplied by Motorola, Inc. 488 Series GPS Receiver using 8 channel Motorola GT/GT+ Oncore Receiver. 488A Series GPS Receiver using 8 channel Motorola GT/GT+ Oncore Receiver. Note 1 We have recently issued a 488 GPS receiver system software upgrade which improves performance and offers additional data validation. cots Originally developed for the U.S. military, GPS is used ubiquitously worldwide. Moreover, while the military spawned the commercial and civilian markets for GPS, COTS uses have now provided "spin on" benefits back to new military users like the U.S. Marine Corps' Urban Warrior program. Positioning Systems (GPS) infrastructure cost over $ l 2 billion since its inception, had its satellites first starting deployment in the mid-1970s and reached its fulloperational capacity in July of 1995. Tri-M Systems joined SRI as a supplier technology partner. This explosion of time and location data has fostered one of the hottest new post-secondary degrees: Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering. mx421 GPS/ DGPS receiver is going to be a surprise to everyone, not the least our customers. It doesn't look like a receiver, it doesn't even really look like an antenna, because it's not either, it's both. Technology, a built in 12 channel GPS receiver, and Leica's proprietary multi-path mitigation technique. The Smart Antenna is also extremely rugged with a well sealed, waterproof enclosure and a heavy duty connector. The Smart Antenna features superior multi-path rejection, and boasts RF jamming resistance and uncompromised phase center stability. Leica's latest GPS technology developed jointly with IBM brings you the "World's Most Accurate Smart Antennas". sample This document is a report of the GPS data processing undertaken by the AUSPOS Online GPS Processing Service. The AUSPOS Online GPS Processing Service uses International GPS Service (IGS) products (flnal, rapid, ultra-rapid depending on availability) including Precise Orbits, Earth Orientation, Coordinate Solutions (IGS-SSC) to compute precise coordinates in ITRF anywhere on Earth. Geoscience Australia does not warrant that this service a) is error free; b) meets the customer's requirements. All coordinates refer to the Ground Mark. All computed coordinates are based on the IGS realisation of the ITRF2000 reference frame, provided by the IGS cumulative solution. The corrections are given relative to the Dorne Margolin T antenna. baselinereceiver http://www.datafusion.com/gps/baselinereceiver.pdf Data Fusion Corporation implemented and we shall discuss the Idealized Linear ADC, Linear Real-World ADC, as well as the Non-Linear ADC which has nice properties in high CW interference. Static errors are those errors that affect the accuracy of the converter when it is converting static (D.C.) signals, and can be completely described by just four terms. In the absence of the signal the envelope has a Rayleigh distribution and in the presence of the signal the envelope has a Ricean distribution; I and Q signals are normally distributed if the noise is gaussian. A variable dwell detector makes a Boolean decision that a signal is present based upon a pre-defined criteria in an unspecified or variable amount of time.
