051SpecialSince the 1998 release of NCsoft's "Lineage," the world's first graphic Internet game, Korea's online game market has grown rapidly and the new full 3D era online games are mushrooming within the game world. The new category is a cartoon online game and a tripartite division of the online game market is emerging. It is not an exaggeration to say that the Korean online games are on the verge of conquering the Asian online game market. In addition to the online role playing games they have been concentrating on, they will release board games and shooting games to the overseas m Hallyu (Korea Fever) n. We attempt to design a language for speech interactive computer games. Computer games use 'barks', which is slang developed for the communications between game agents. The GPL we have developed will enhance the group bonding especially in multi-player games. Since Computer Games are primarily a source of fun and entertainment, our attempt is to create funny sounding but quickly memorisable words. games. Analyzing the data of Table 3 to 6, we find that our GPL (table 8) is most suitable as a new pidgin language for games and Guugu Yimithirr is least suitable. Advantages of GPL in computer games are - 1) The more limited vocabulary and simple grammar makes speech processing across many ethnic backgrounds much easier. 2) Games move fast, and short simple utterances are more appropriate.HPL-2000-52During the summer, we are building an experimental multi-player shopping game, in which agents will represent buyers, sellers, brokers and services of various kinds. Groups of 10-20 students are given real money, and asked to play "to win" against each other in a simplified electronic market to test selected predications of game theory and human behavior. This report describes what we are attempting to accomplish with these games, why we have decided to use agent technology to build them, and what we have done to date. We hypothesize that properly constructed games can offer important insights into proposed e-commerce business strategies, and that these insights will nicely complement the understanding achievable using formal analysis and simulation techniques. Playing e-commerce games can have a similar value to business planners that war games have to military planners, or management training simulation games have for business managers. Many challenges are faced when developing and implementing software onto mobile phone hardware, such as memory management and performance. Throughout this research, a game application is being developed to analyze software behavior on different mobile phone architectures. Several compilers and emulators are being used for testing and deployment of the game application. Initial results show that it is possible to implement high-level applications on such limited hardware architecture. Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP) version 1.0 provides a limited number of Java classes developers can use to write mobile phone applications. To examine the role of application programming interfaces (APIs) applicable to modern game development. This module gives students an opportunity to further develop programming skills applicable to computer games development. The development of a real game is the principal output of this module which can be used as part of a show-reel for potential employers. This module provides practical experience of the game design process from initial concept through to the detailed design document stage. This design document can then be taken to the next stage in the game development pipeline: implementation (although this particular activity is outside the scope of this module). This paper surveys the advantages of C# and then presents and evaluates experience with connecting it to Java in a variety of ways. The first way provides evidence that Java can be linked to C# at the native code level, albeit through C++ wrappers. The second is a means for retaining the useful applet feature of Java in the server-side architecture of web services written in C#. The third is by providing a common XML-based class for the development of GUIs, which can be incorporated into Java or C#. A major advantage of the methods described in this paper is that in all cases the Java program is not a ected by the fact that it is interfacing with C#. The paper concludes that there are many common sharedus05"Java Therapy" is a Web site with a library of evaluation and therapy activities. The second approach was to incorporate force feedback into a Web page using a Java applet, and to use this Web page to transfer desired information. First, since Java applets are downloaded onto the host computer each time a Web page is accessed (Figure 3), new versions of the therapy program could in effect be automatically installed each time a user accessed the therapy web page. In effect, new Java therapy applets designed at a remote center could be downloaded "on the fly". However, game AI, in contrast to rendering code and other game code, is distinguished by employing a high density of predicates on rapidly changing game state, and a high density of operations that change game state. It is designed to facilitate the rapid creation of game AI by automating many of the common programming tasks associated with creating game rules, while maintaining the flexibility of C and C++ when required. The aim of the paper is to demonstrate the applicability of rule-based programming to game AI in general, and the usefulness of RC++ for game AI in particular. Currently, most game AI code consists of the implementation of behavioural rules that encapsulate knowledge about a particular game domain. The distinction between passive objects and active agents is reflected in the game industry's distinction between physics modelling and game AI. Many of the most popular games model physically realistic scenarios such as piloting a vehicle or interacting with and moving around in a virtual environment. Games based on other models such as peer-to-peer connections and distributed or replicated game states have been developed but are much less common due to generally increased complexity with minimal explicit benefits. Consequently, a game client which is aware of the basis equations used by the game server to compute the state of the game can use the state information it has to predict forward the future state of the game. In the event that the server's regular update is delay the game client updates the display with an extrapolated game state and sends the latest control inputs.
