In recognition of this fact, Jazz Winnipeg's Jazz Educator of the Year Award has been established to honour one outstanding Manitoba jazz educator on an annual basis.
Nominees must be teachers of music at the elementary, secondary, university and/or community college levels or private music teachers.
Nominees must be or have been actively involved in promoting jazz music appreciation or jazz music instruction.
The Board of Directors of Jazz Winnipeg Inc. will review all completed nominations received by SEPTEMBER 12, 2003.
