The only organization in Toronto committed to classic jazz is the Toronto Classic Jazz Society. Why not join the CJST and help us continue to present the best bands available. Without the CJST, three of the above five bands would never be heard in Toronto. For the 2003/2004 season we are planing five concerts and are negotiating with several bands. The line up for next year will be available in our September mailing and will be posted on our web site as soon as the details are finalized. What do you get when you blend jazz, blues ragtime, swing and original music with washboards, washtubs, kazoos, jugs and various other sundry hardware? THE JUGGERNAUT JUG BAND, with founder Roscoe Goose (vocals, washboard, trumpet, cans, blues harp, bells, snare and jug) and original member The Amazing Mr. Fish, (vocals, walking bass, nose flute, washtub bass) have been performing since the mid 1960's. They have been selected for inclusion in the KY Arts Council Performing Arts Directory (5th yr.) 2003 Jazz Credit NOTE: Campus fees change to a flat rate of $145.75 if the student enrolls in more than 5 cr hrs. Payment must be by check. If the previous graduate enrollment was 5 years or longer, then it is necessary to reapply as a new graduate student (see new graduate student section above). Using Visual Basic programming language, Markov chains of orders one to three are created using transcriptions of improvised solos by John Coltrane in his song Giant Steps.
