Under the direction of Dr. Janet Landreth, Chair of Keyboard Area Studies at CSU, the Wendel Diebel Keyboard Olympics was inaugurated in 1999 to honor the late Wendel Diebel who was head of the Piano Division at CSU from 1948-1974.
Landreth studied with Jean Marie Darré and Pierre Barbizet at the Académie Internationale d'eté in Nice, France where she earned the coveted Performer's Certificate.
