AbstractIn this article we discuss the approach of Process Landscapingby developing a real-world software process. Especially the second feature differentiates process landscapingfrom other process modelling methods like those based on event-driven process chains [MS96], Petri Net-like languages and data flow diagrams, where interfaces are not first class entities. In section 2 we discuss the process landscapingmethod in terms of key activities carried out. In section 3, the development of a real software process landscapeis discussed. Schema of a process landscapeWe put a process landscapeinto a system of coordinates. Following the direction of modeling of the process landscapingmethod, we start the development of the software process landscapewith processes concerning the preparation of a project plan. Development on open land and in wooded areas has increased the area covered by buildings, paved surfaces, and turf. This development causes increased runoff that carries contaminants. Making landscapechoices Your landscapechoices can improve the beauty of the garden and the water quality of streams, rivers, lakes, and groundwater. Properly se-lected plants or landscapingfeatures can reduce runoff and minimize the amount of pesticides and fertilizers applied to lawns and gardens. Turf can remain an integral part of the landscapewithout being a heavy user of water, fertilizer, and pesticides. The lake-friendly gardening strategy for landscapingis to plant low-maintenance, disease-resistant species and varieties, and follow xeriscaping principles. 02MartinMore homeowners preferred an oasis landscapedesign type to either desert or mesic designs, and roughly 70% of homeowners preferred a landscapedesign type that had at least some lawn area. Historically, the character of landscapevegetation in Phoenix has been that of an oasis in the desert and has been typified by landscapegreenery. Most of these CC&Rs dictate landscapeplant materials and control homeowner landscapeactivities under the rubric of preserving residential commu-nity property values. Potential impacts of these CC&Rs on the structure and composition of residential landscapes, as well as on the landscapeperceptions and activities of community residents are unknown. How residential landscapesare impacted by CC&Rs is important because the present increased occurrence of communities with CC&Rs has great potential to alter the future ecology of the urban 1. Every development proposal requires inventorying existing site conditions which include trees and landscaping. In designing the new project, every reasonable attempt should be made to preserve and protect existing trees and to incorporate them into the new landscapeplan. Similarly, significant landscaping(e.g., bushes, shrubs) should be integrated. (1) All landscapedareas and plants required by this chapter must be permanently maintained in a healthy growing condition in order to accomplish the purpose for which it was required. All landscapedareas must be kept free of debris and weeds. This requirement may be applied to situations involving landscapevariances that most lawns and yards receive more water than they need. Over-watering creates run-off that carries toxic fertilizers and pesticides into our streams. This is not only harmful to wildlife and your plants, it wastes water and money too! The following tips will help protect the environment, keep your yard healthy, and save you money on your water bill. When landscaping, a properly designed and installed irrigation system can be included as a water conservation tool. LandscapingConsider alternate landscapingpractices. Consult a nursery or landscapeprofessional for a well balanced fertilizer program.Although many companies we contacted provide landscapingservices only, most of them provide landscapedesign, installation, maintenance, and general grounds maintenance services. The American Society of LandscapeArchitects has established guidelines for all areas of landscapeinstallation and maintenance. Landscapemaintenance firms are expected to know how to care for and prune all the plants in the landscape. In addition to plant maintenance, landscapemaintainers should be trained in bedding, mulching, irrigating, and fertilizing all landscapeareas. Most customers see their landscapeon a daily basis and consider anything other than a healthy, thriving landscapea sign of poor service. Many larger companies hire a landscapearchitect to monitor landscapeinstallation contracts to ensure specifications are met.
