Service-providers are increasingly reliant on Internet and email to disseminate information. However, there is currently very little publicly available information on access to and use of the Internet by ethnic minorities in general and refugees in particular. The Refugee Council therefore decided to conduct research into the extent of refugee community organisations' (RCOs) access to, and use of, the Internet. All qualified refugee and asylum seeking doctors are eligible to join the refugee doctor's database, a project organised by the Refugee Council and the British Medical Association (BMA). In July 2003 there were already 882 doctors registered on the database, and this data is also used to inform people about the number of refugee doctors, which region they live in and what support they need to continue their careers in the UK.

The consequences of falling can be significant leading to severe physical and psychological trauma. There are many programs aimed at preventing falls but Tai Chi (TC), a low intensity form of martial arts, has recently gained more attention as a possible intervention. Studies investigating the health benefits of Tai Chi have reported improvements in strength, balance, postural control, self confidence as well as reducing the risk of falls. "What is the effectiveness of Tai Chi in preventing falls in a community-dwelling individual 60 years of age or older? Results indicate potential use of TC to prevent falls in older adults as posed by clinical question < Results does not capture all of population in CAT (those between the ages of 60-69 were excluded in study) < Generalization of results to population of older adults questionable due to incomplete description of intervention and non-random sampling < Only the secondary outcome measures were applicable to clinical question Table 2.
