race, scoring, regatta, GMORA, yacht, suggested class Breaks, champions, Rinderle, participating, President. GMORA is redoubling it efforts to support all yacht racing on the Coast of Maine. In this light, we have revamped the scoring to effectively eliminate any bias for or against any regatta. We think we have accomplished this by reverting to the Rinderle B scoring system that GMORA used for many years up until recently. This system is a very simple way to weight an individual yacht's performance based upon the number of competitors in any particular race. This year, we are continuing to suggest that you utilize our suggested Class Breaks that were instituted last year (see attachment). yb305_manual As a proud representative of Grundig's radio products, the Authorized Grundig Store is pleased to offer this support manual. Do this by pressing the BAND button over and over until MW (AM), FM or SW appears in the left side of the display. On the YB305 these bands are shown on the Numeric Keypad as 31m, 19m, etc. and after the band has been selected, in the lower right corner of the LCD Display. Sail design, setting, and sheeting restrictions which apply to IOR rated boats also apply to boats racing under PHRF. The use of non-standard sails, rig, etc. is compensated for by rating adjustments to the boats base rating. Deviations from the standards result in adjustments to this base rating. constitutionandbylaws http://royal-varuna-yacht-club.com/docsetc/constitutionandbylaws.pdf members, club, boat, facilities, sailing, clubhouse, Royal Varuna Yacht, storage, guests, absent members. There are many factors that can determine the winner of a yacht match race. The major factors include weather conditions observed during the race, tactical decisions made while sailing and the dynamic performance of each yacht. After designating a course to race on, a simulation of a yacht match race could be run with two different yacht designs to determine the winner. This research is supported by a Government Research in Industry Fellowship (GRIF) in conjunction with the University of Auckland and TNZ. I would like to gratefully acknowledge staff at TNZ who have, and continue to, provide knowledge and data, without which this project could not be undertaken successfully: particularly Tom Schnackenberg, Clay Oliver, Nick Holroyd and Mike Drummond. Some members provide their winter address only because that's where they get their mail year round, but then we don't know where you are in the summer, and usually your winter address appears in the roster twice. Jim had just returned from his boat, which he had used for the first time in two months---it's been that cold. His encouraging words: when it warms up in Florida like this, you'll get it before long! Talked to Bud and Arlene Logan in Florida, and they cut a mean rug on Valentine's Day at the Sarasota Yacht Club with Jackie and Peter Mundy. | |
